Terrace &
Dining room
ZOI's dining room unfolds along the southern wall of Diocletian's Palace, with a terrace that looks out over Split's harbor and the Riva below. It is a space made for sunsets, late-night conversations and quietly cinematic evenings in the heart of the old town.

The terrace
The open-air terrace is carved into the palace walls, elevated just enough to feel removed from the promenade yet close enough to sense the city's rhythm. From here, palm trees, moored boats and the curve of the waterfront become part of the backdrop to dinner, shifting gently as daylight fades into night.
Tables are spaced for privacy, with lighting kept soft and warm so the focus stays on the plates, the people at your table and the view beyond. On summer nights, a light breeze from the sea and the glow of the harbor create one of the most atmospheric dinner settings in Split.

Inside the stone
Indoors, vaulted stone, textured walls and curated details continue the dialogue with the palace's architecture. The interior is intentionally calm: a modern palette, comfortable seating and considered lighting designed to frame the food and wine, not compete with them.
Whether you dine inside or on the terrace, the atmosphere remains intimate and unhurried, with music and city sounds kept at a level that allows easy conversation. Many guests choose to begin with a drink outside and move indoors as the evening unfolds.

Private & semi-private
For groups of more than twelve guests, ZOI can arrange private or semi-private use of part of the space, tailored to the occasion. The team designs each event individually, from menu structure and pairings to table layout and pacing, so that it feels like a natural extension of the restaurant rather than a separate function room.
These evenings work particularly well for milestone celebrations, intimate weddings, business gatherings or hosted dinners for visiting friends and clients in Split. To explore options, please contact the restaurant by email with your preferred date, approximate number of guests and any initial ideas you have for the night.

Finding your way to ZOI
ZOI is located on the first floor of the palace wall above the Riva, next to the entrance to Diocletian's cellars (South Gate). From the seafront promenade, look for the discreet doorway by the basements and take the stairs up—our team will be waiting to welcome you.
